What May I Donate?

Is This A Nationwide Service?
YES! Our organization will pick up your vehicle from most cities across the country.
Is My Donation Tax Deductible?
YES! You will receive a minimum $500 tax deduction. We partner exclusively with IRS-recognized 501 (c) 3 non-profit charitable organizations, a complete listing of which is available on our web site. However, please be aware that all donations are tax-deductible only to the full extent permitted under the law. It is best to check with your personal tax advisor/planner to understand the specifics of how charitable donations may apply to you.
Do I Need a Title to Donate My Vehicle?
YES! A Certificate of Title is required. Contact your local Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) to obtain a duplicate certificate in the event you have lost or misplaced the original or call us and we will be happy to assist you.
Who Decides My Vehicles' Value?
The IRS allows you to claim a tax deduction based on the value of your vehicle or boat up to $500. If the value exceeds $500, then you are eligible to take a tax deduction based on the gross proceeds from the sale of your car. We will mail you this information for tax purposes. Charitable deductions of vehicles valued at more than $5,000 are based on the appraised value and are exempted from this requirement. How and When Will My Vehicle Be Towed?
A licensed, insured and highly professional towing company tows donated vehicles for free! Usually within one (1) day of submitting your donation form, you will be contacted by Miles Ahead Network. All arrangements will be made and all your questions will be answered. No need to rearrange your schedule. You don't need to be at home when your car is towed away.
For Tax Purposes, Do I Receive a Receipt Documenting My Transaction?
YES! After your vehicle or boat has been towed, the title transfer paperwork completed and the car or boat sold you will receive a receipt necessary for you to take an IRS-approved tax deduction.

Can I donate a Car Belonging to Someone Who is Deceased
You can donate the car as long as you have a death certificate of the deceased and proof that you are the inheritor of the belongings of that person.
Can I Donate My Car if it is Not Running
Yes! We accept cars that are both running and not. Call us at 1-800-868-6004 to see if your car qualifies as a donation.
What Should I do With my License Plate When Donating My Car?
Make sure to remove your license plates. You can then either put them on your new car or return them to the DMV.
