If it has a motor (or used to!), we’ll probably take it! We accept all vehicles, including cars, trucks, SUVs, boats, trailers, motorcycles, vans, buses, RVs, off-road vehicles and heavy equipment.

Our skilled team will assess your vehicle, sell it for as much as possible and donate the proceeds to a certified charity of your choice.

Not a penny! In fact, it’s just the opposite – we’ll pick it up for FREE and you’ll receive a tax-deductible receipt.

Unfortunately, we legally cannot accept abandoned vehicles. We suggest calling your local police station to report the vehicle as abandoned, or contacting a junkyard in your area to remove it.

Yes, that is not a problem. We accept cars, trucks and SUVs in any condition.

Our headquarters is in the Hudson Valley, NY, but we accept donations in
    all 50 states.

Sometimes. We can only accept the car if you have legal documentation that the vehicle has been bequeathed to you.

There are a lot of reasons. Here are a few of our favorites:

    1. Raise money for a certified charity or a cause you’re passionate about.
    2. Get a tax-deductible receipt for $500+.
    3. Help children and families in need through philanthropy.
    4. Make more room in your driveway.

Miles Ahead Network will donate the proceeds of your car donation to the certified charity you select. If you don’t see your favorite charity on our list, contact us to find out how to add them to our charity partner program. Charity Partners Program

    TAX DEDUCTION:

Per the IRS, you can claim one of the two deductions:

    1. The market value of your car, truck or SUV up to $500.
    2. The total our team of experts sells your vehicle for, if it’s above $500.

Note: The tax deduction only applies if you itemize your taxes. For more information, review the IRS Donors Guide to Car Donation.

Your tax-deductible receipt should arrive within 3 to 6 weeks of your vehicle donation. We’ll also give you a receipt when we pick up your car.

We have more than 20 years of experience processing car donations in your community. Our #1 goal, aside from making the donation process simple for you, is to raise as much money as possible for charity. To do that, we carefully assess every donation, considering the vehicle’s year, make and model, mileage and, of course, the local market.

Your tax-deductible receipt should arrive within 3 to 6 weeks of your vehicle donation. We’ll also give you a temporary receipt when we pick up your car.

    PICK UP PROCESS:

Yes, you do not need to be present for us to pick up your vehicle. All you have to do is leave the keys and title in the glove box. And don’t forget to remove all of your personal belongings!

Yes, the licensed towing company we partner with will give you a temporary receipt. Within 3 to 6 weeks of the donation, watch the mail for a tax-deductible receipt sent from the charity.

We’ll arrange a time to pick up your vehicle within 24-48 hours of speaking with you, or whenever is convenient for you.

Miles Ahead Network works with a nationwide network of licensed, bonded and insured towing companies to ensure every vehicle is picked up safely and in a timely manner by a licensed professional.

No! We’ll pick up your car anywhere and basically any time, just let us know. Click here to donate online or call us at 800-868-6004 to schedule a pick up time.

    PLATES AND TITLES:

In New York and most states, you should remove them once the towing company arrives and return them to your local Department of Motor Vehicles. Alaska, California, Hawaii and Minnesota are an exception to this rule and the license plates should stay with the vehicle.

In Arizona, California, Illinois, Minnesota and Washington, you may also be required to sign a release of liability to the DMV. Visit the DMV’s website to learn more about rules and regulations in your area.

You should sign your title like you’re going to sell your vehicle. Print and sign your name as the “Seller” in the same way it appears on the front of the title.

No. A Certificate of Title is required. If you cannot locate the title, please contact your local DMV to obtain a duplicate certificate or contact us and we’ll be happy to assist you.
